Omar Abada gets MVP of the Week award for Basketball Africa League

Experienced Omar Abada (189-PG-1993) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Club Africain Tunis and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 32-year old playmaker got a double-double of 25 points and 11 assists, while his team beat Maktown (#5, 1-4) 86-77. It allowed Club Africain to consolidate first place in the Basketball Africa League. Club Africain have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Abada had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Club Africain, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Abada has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 7.6apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Club Africain's star - young Nigerian guard Aminu Mohammed (196-G-2001). Mohammed impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Club Africain Tunis to edge JCA (#6, 0-5) by 5 points 79-74. Of course Club Africain still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Mohammed is one of the most experienced players at Club Africain and similarly like Omar Abada has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American JC Butler (196-F-2000) of Maktown Flyers Makurdi (#5). Butler scored 29 points. Despite Butler's great performance the Maktown lost 80-89 to the higher-ranked Al Ahly C. (#2, 4-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Maktown can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Butler has a very solid season. In 5 games in Basketball Africa League he scored 16.0ppg.
